Hot Band Delivers A Smoking Performance For Jazz Summit

The University of Manitoba’s Desautels Faculty of Music is hosting the Canadian Jazz Summit, a series of workshops and concerts for jazz students and professionals. The Canadian Jazz Summit is a virtual online event taking place Feb. 4/5, 2022. This year the Summit features Juno-award winning jazz saxophonist, composer and arranger, Allison Au, and trumpeter, pianist, drummer and composer, Brad Turner.

The Desautels Faculty of Music, partnering with Jazz Winnipeg, produced a Gala Concert which will be offered online on Friday, 4th February, 08:00 pm. JDRS and Compass Digital were on hand to record the concert of compositions written by Au and Turner, presented by a seven-piece band from the Desautels Faculty of Music.

Tickets for the Canadian Jazz Summit workshops, and the concert, can be purchased at Eventbrite.
