Congratulations to Karl Stobbe for his nomination for Classical Recording of the Year in the upcoming Western Canada Music Awards, to be held in September in Victoria, B.C. His is the only Manitoba nomination in this category. I would wish him luck, but I’ve seen, first hand, how hard this man works. He makes his own luck. Instead, I’ll ask you to join with me in wishing him success at Breakout West in Victoria, B.C. on Sunday September 20, 2015.
From WCMA’s Breakout West’s website, here are the nominees from this category:
Classical Recording of the Year
Ysaÿe Sonatas For Solo Violin – Karl Stobbe (MB)
Sins & Fantasies – Mark Takeshi McGregor (BC)
PEP (Piano and Erhu Project) Vol. 2 – PEP (Piano and Erhu Project) Vol. 2 (BC)
