Joe Dudych is a Winnipeg-based recording engineer-producer. His company, Joe Dudych Recording Services (JDRS), specializes in music recording and mixing in on-location and studio settings, as well as audio reparation and restoration services.
With over 40 years in professional audio, Joe has earned a reputation for fine quality sound, whether it for his on-location or studio recording, TV production, or live radio. In that time, he has amassed tens of thousands of hours recording and mixing live concerts and other events, much of that with the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation. His 27-year career at CBC brought him the opportunity to work with a broad range of musical styles and artists. Joe’s CBC Radio and TV credits include such diverse talents as Richard Thompson, Robert Plant and the Band of Joy, Sharon Jones and the Dap Kings, Evelyn Glennie, Isabel Bayrakdarian, Marc-Andre Hamelin, Molly Johnson, Dave Brubeck, Dave Young, Ron Paley Big Band, Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra, Manitoba Chamber Orchestra, Winnipeg Jazz Orchestra, Winnipeg Singers, Canzona, Camerata Nova, Abigail Washburn, Bill Frisell, The Skydiggers, Stefan Bauer, and Toots Thielmans to name but a few.
Since starting JDRS in 2013, projects that he worked on have been nominated for 3 Juno Awards and 4 Western Canada Music Awards, with Western Canada Music Award wins in 2015 and 2018, and one Juno Award in 2017.
Joe is based in Winnipeg, Canada, but is not averse to travel.
